Destacats / Highlights

[Month begun with a few Yellow-browed Warblers. But one of them turned out to be an Arctic Warbler, the 1st for Catalunya. First tenth produced a few Richard’s Pipits and a Herring Gull coming from October relocated at Ivars lagoon. Tarragona harbour held 3 more Herrings while Llobregat delta hosted an Eider, a Siberian Chiffchaff and a Rock Pipit. 2nd half begun with a Greater Spotted Eagle and a Cory’s Shearwater off Ebre delta plus Little Swift at Premià de Mar. Last tenth was maked by the arrival of some Snow Buntings at Pyrenees and Montseny while a (returning?) Purple Sandpiper reached Barcelona. By the end of the month, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Baix Empordà ricefields and a Goosander at l’Ampolla helped making this November another good month]
