Destacats / Highlights

[January begins with the birds coming from December: Goosander, Desert Wheatear, Eider, Purple Sandpiper but on the 1st, a Brent Goose is found at Fangar bay, Ebre delta. On the 6th a Caspian Gull is seen at Tarragona. After the storm ‘Gloria’ a good number of rarities gather in Catalunya: Lesser Moorhen (1st record), Ruppell’s Vulture (adult, 1st to be accepted into the list) and Pacific Golden Plover plus 2 (!) Long-billed Dowitchers. Not bad.]
