Destacats / Highlights

[July 2018 begun slow in terms of rare birds. There was a single Hooded Crow observation at Baix Llobregat and a presumed hybrid egret at Delta de l’Ebre and the Empordà goose. An observation of Lesser Crested Tern near Barcelona was the most interesting sighting until mid July. On 20.7 two Broad-billed Sandpipers at Ebre delta perhaps marked the start of the autumn season. The observations of a Ruddy Shelduck at Llobregat delta and that of an adult and juvenile yellow-billed tern at Ebre delta were interesting sightings by the end of the month]
